Race Alignment Checker

Check camber and total toe against broad autocross and track baseline ranges.

Alignment

Check alignment baseline

This is a baseline checker, not a vehicle-specific prescription. Tire wear and driver feedback decide the next step.

Calculator guide

Using alignment values as a baseline check

This checker compares front and rear camber with broad starting points for street, autocross, or HPDE use and flags unusually large total-toe magnitudes.

Inputs and calculation

  • Use case, front and rear camber in degrees, and front and rear total toe in inches or millimeters.

Camber results show entered camber minus the selected baseline. Near zero means close to that broad starting point.

The baselines are front/rear −1.5°/−1.0° for street, −3.0°/−2.0° for autocross, and −2.5°/−1.8° for HPDE. Toe is flagged when either absolute total exceeds 0.12 inch or 3 mm.

How to interpret the result

  • A positive camber difference is less negative than the baseline; a negative difference is more negative. Use tire temperatures, wear, stability, and driver feedback to decide the next adjustment.

Assumptions and limits

  • These are generic reference points, not vehicle-specific specifications. Suspension geometry, tire construction, drive layout, track, and driving style can justify very different settings.
  • The toe check evaluates magnitude only; it does not distinguish toe-in from toe-out or prescribe a direction.

Example: HPDE baseline

Front camber of −2.5° and rear camber of −1.8° return 0.0° differences for HPDE. Front total toe of 0 and rear total toe of 0.10 inch remain inside the broad magnitude check.
